Pointed Mutation is a technical death metal band from Iran, formed in 2019 by Ali Zakeri (Songwriting and Guitars). The lineup expanded to include Saleh Rezaei (Vocals), Sina Ghadimipour (Drums), Saman Am (Bass) and Parham Misaghi (Second Guitar).
The band made its debut in May 2020 with the release of their EP titled "Engineering the Unhuman," which was released by the UK-based Black Spark Records. Pointed Mutation aims to blend the technical aspects of extreme music with groove elements, all while achieving the best possible production quality.
Following their debut, Pointed Mutation was invited to perform live in Armenia twice, in 2021 and 2022.
The band is set to release a new full-length album soon, with "Missense Evolution" serving as the first single from this upcoming project.
